One of the most surprising losses happened in Phitsanulok, where Democrat candidate Warong Dechgitvigrom lost to the FFP's Padipat Santipada by over 5,000 votes. Pheu Thai also experienced a shock loss in Bangkok's Constituency 28, where Watana Muangsook trailed behind the PPRP's candidate, also by more than 5,000 votes. Meanwhile, Mr Watana is well known for his anti-coup stance, and is considered as a key Pheu Thai figure. "The ship called the Democrat Party was poorly guided under his captaincy," he wrote, without mentioning Mr Abhisit by name. Another veteran politician who bit the dust was five-time Trat MP Theera Salakphet of the Democrat Party, who lost to the FFP's Sakdinai Numnoo.
